The Special Agent is a government detective. While a capable gun fighter, he is best known for his unique investigatory techniques, which have resulted in him being assigned to more supernatural cases.
While investigating a series of grisly murders, The Special Agent tracked the killer to a mysterious portal. He attempted to apprehend the killer, but failed due to his imperfect courage. Twenty-five years later, the Special Agent enters the Gungeon determined to confront his failure, put an end to the killer, and rewrite the past for the victims.

Ring of the Owl: A transparent red curtain overlays the screen, which triggers the item's effects. The curse increase remains even if the item is dropped.
Blue Rose: Companion chances & details - 1 - 30% chance - Chet Desgund moves slowly and performs a melee attack, which deals significant knock back. 2 - 30% chance - Alberetta Rosenfield increases the player’s damage by 20%. 3 - 30% chance - Gordon Colt alternates between firing blanks in a small radius (similar to the Owl) and emitting a loud yell, which stuns enemies. 4 - 10% chance - Bullet Jeffries slows down time by 30% on a continuous basis.
Default: The Special Agent's default costume features a gold pin, which is worn by all government employees.
Kill the Past: After Killing the Past, The Special Agent changes into a dapper, vomit-green suit.
Doppelganger: Using Ring of the Owl results in a 50% chance of spawning The Special Agent's doppelganger, who brandishes a yrev evil G-Pistol.
